Opera Neon
Opera's agentic browser, with built-in agents that browse for you, run deep research and build things.
By Opera · launched 2025-12-11 · last checked 2026-11-02
Why 3: its agents carry out tasks on pages and run deep research when you ask, but with no independent test of how far it completes tasks alone, it is not rated higher.
What it does. Unveiled in May 2025, Neon shipped to early users in autumn 2025 and opened to the public on 11 December 2025 as a $19.90-a-month subscription. Its agents can carry out tasks on pages, run deep research and build mini apps, and "Tasks" group chats and tabs into workspaces. Since August 2026 the browser itself is free, and outside agents can drive it through MCP and a command-line tool; the paid plan unlocks Neon's own autonomous browsing.
Where it falls short. We found no independent test of how reliably its agents complete tasks.
